Scoring a hat-trick in the Premier League is a special achievement for any player. To do that for three different clubs is even more incredible.

Teddy Sheringham (Tottenham, Manchester United and Portsmouth)

Teddy Sheringham won the Premier League Golden Boot in his first appearance in the tournament, after leaving Nottingham Forest for Tottenham.

Sheringham scored 97 goals in two seasons in north London. When he joined Manchester United, he won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League and was named PFA Player of the Year in the 2000/2001 season.

Les Ferdinand (Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle United and Tottenham)

Les Ferdinand scored 149 goals in his long career in the Premier League. The former England international was one of the tournament’s top scorers during the 1990s. Nicolas Anelka (Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea)

As a teenager, Anelka won the Premier League and FA Cup double with the Highbury team in the 1997/98 season. After scoring 19 goals in the 1998/99 season, Anelka was named PFA Young Player of the Year.

Anelka moved to Real Madrid with a huge transfer contract at that time and then moved to many other clubs. He played for Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester City, Fenerbahce and Bolton before having a stable playing time at Chelsea.

The former French international scored 59 times in 184 appearances for “The Blues” and won the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2008/09 season.

Yakubu (Blackburn, Everton and Portsmouth)

Yakubu is the fourth highest scoring African football player in Premier League history, with 96 shots on goal.

The Nigerian has impressed after signing for Portsmouth from Maccabi Haifa. Yakubu scored 35 goals in two and a half seasons at the English south coast team, including a “poker” strike against Middlesbrough.
